Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 2026
FEI is committed to making feiny.com accessible to as many people as possible, including visitors who use assistive technologies or have specific perceptual, motor, or cognitive needs. We approach accessibility the same way we approach the rest of our work — with attention to detail and an honest accounting of what's done, what's in progress, and where help is welcome.
Standard we work toward
This site is designed and developed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard that the United States Department of Justice has indicated as the expected benchmark for websites under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and that is referenced in equivalent regulations in many other jurisdictions.
What we've done
The following accessibility features are implemented across feiny.com:
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements — links, buttons, form controls, the mobile menu — can be reached and activated using only a keyboard. A "skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page for users navigating by keyboard.
- Visible focus indicators. When using a keyboard, the currently focused element is outlined with a visible gold ring so its location is always clear.
- Color contrast. Body text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Color is used as a visual accent, never as the only means of conveying information.
- Semantic structure. Pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark elements (
<nav>,<main>,<footer>), and ARIA attributes where appropriate, so the page structure is meaningful to screen readers and other assistive technologies. - Image alternative text. Meaningful images include descriptive
altattributes. Purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them rather than read meaningless content. - Form labels. Every form input has an associated label or
aria-label, so the purpose of each field is clear in any assistive technology. - Motion sensitivity. The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting in your operating system. Animations and the autoplay video on the homepage are disabled for users who have chosen reduced motion in their accessibility preferences. - Responsive design. Pages adapt to screen sizes from mobile phones through large desktop displays. Tap targets meet recommended minimum sizes on touch devices.
- Privacy-respecting analytics. Analytics are opt-in only, and visitors who decline are not tracked. See our privacy policy for more.
What we're working on
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a destination. We are aware of the following areas where the site could be improved further, and we are working to address them:
- Some decorative gold-accent text appears at the lower end of the contrast threshold. We continue to refine these to remain visually distinctive while meeting compliance targets.
- A complete third-party accessibility audit has not yet been conducted. We plan to commission one within the first year of this site's operation and will update this statement with the results.
- Full keyboard testing across all interactive elements is ongoing. If you encounter an element you cannot use with a keyboard, please let us know.
Assistive technologies tested
The site has been spot-checked with the following combinations:
- Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
- VoiceOver on macOS Safari and iOS Safari.
- Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse) on Chrome and Safari.
If you use an assistive technology not listed here and encounter problems, your feedback would help us improve.
Known limitations
The following parts of the site are known to fall short of full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and are scheduled for revision:
- The homepage hero contains an autoplay video. The video is muted, loops without user input, and is hidden from screen readers (
aria-hidden). It is also disabled for users who have setprefers-reduced-motionin their operating system. Visitors who object to autoplay content can use OS-level controls to disable autoplay globally. - Some content uses bespoke layouts (interactive timelines, animated SVG charts, decorative typography effects). While we have made these usable with keyboard and screen reader, the experience may be less rich than the visual presentation.
Third-party content
This site embeds the following third-party services, each of which has its own accessibility statement:
- Google Analytics (only when consent is given) — see Google's accessibility resources.
- Google Fonts — Web fonts loaded from
fonts.googleapis.com. - Formspree — Powers the contact form. See Formspree's accessibility statement.
How to report a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on feiny.com, please tell us. We will investigate and respond as promptly as we can. The most useful reports include:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue.
- A brief description of what you were trying to do and what went wrong.
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using (if relevant).
Email us at [email protected] with subject line "Accessibility" and we will respond, typically within five business days.
Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to a reported accessibility issue and you are in the United States, you have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Information on filing such a complaint is available at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
Outside the United States, regional disability-rights enforcement varies. We are happy to help you find the appropriate regulatory contact for your jurisdiction.
